Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Willoughby Public School Parents & Citizens Association is a school-based organisation consisting of parents, teachers and interested citizens.

The P&C is established to:

Promote the interests of our school, by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation.
Assist in providing facilities and equipment for our school, and to promote the recreation and welfare of the students at our school.
Encourage parent and community participation in curriculum and other educational issues in the school.
Assist and co-operate with teaching staff at public functions associated with the school.

It is the responsibility of our P&C Association to conduct the election of parent representatives for the School Council, and to administer the class parent representative system. Our P&C is an incorporated member of the Federation of P&C Associations, and abides by the rules and guidelines of this body.

P&C meetings

At Willoughby Public School, our Parents & Citizens (P&C) meetings are an important opportunity for parents, carers, and community members to come together, share ideas, and actively contribute to the school community. These meetings provide a platform to discuss school initiatives, plan events, support fundraising activities, and collaborate with staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.

Attending P&C meetings is a great way to stay informed about what’s happening at the school, connect with other families, and have a direct voice in decisions that impact your child’s education and wellbeing. Whether you’re new to the school or have been part of the community for years, your involvement is valued and makes a real difference. We warmly invite all families to join us at upcoming P&C meetings and be part of shaping a positive and supportive school environment.

P&C meetings are held each term on line beginning at 7pm. The dates of the meetings are published on the School Bytes parent calendar.
